CUSAT 2026 Five – Year LLB Entrance Exam Analysis
The CUSAT 2026 five-year LLB CAT entrance analysis is based on student feedback and question types of each section as given feedback to the Jobsecura team from our students who have written a few hours back.
If CUSAT 2026 LLB entrance has to be classified it is a moderately easy paper but like previous years,’ time management is a challenge again. Based on this it is best left to students to decide the cut off. But there are chances that the cut off might go up to a certain level.
Legal Aptitude Section Analysis
Legal section: It would certainly not be incorrect to summarize that questions asked in the legal section of CUSAT 2026 LLB entrance exam were not out of syllabus. There were one or two reasoning and assertion questions based on a particular scenario.
One question was pertaining to vicarious liability. Similarly, another question on reasoning related to good faith and property act. But nothing more than that.
Otherwise, most of the questions asked in the legal section were more towards the generic side like which articles cover the fundamental rights, who can declare a law unconstitutional, replacement of the evidence act (very simple to be fair), who appoints the chairman of the finance commission, freedom of religion covered under which article etc.
More or less the legal section is up to expectation and no deviation shockers. At least one question came from a previous CUSAT question paper.
GK and Current Affairs Analysis
GK and Current affairs: Similar to Legal, GK section also followed the regular CUSAT pattern but of course with some deviations. Especially notable was the questions asked about the 2024 Olympics in the 2026 CUSAT LLB (almost 2 years old!).
Similarly, there were questions on the 2022 CJI appointment which is rather rare. Normally questions pertaining to appointment of current CJI are more in vogue. Again, another shift in pattern was the theme of 2024 republic day. Not too pleasant because all students would have prepared for 2026 Republic Day.
But these are off track questions all students need to be prepared for. On the static GK front, the question of the co-founder of Flipkart would have also taken many CUSAT 2026 LLB entrance attendees by surprise.
There were 2 questions on Full forms (acronyms). One question from legal GK relation to TRIPS agreement and one question related to UDHR – UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS. Another question again with a flavour of Legal GK came from Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
The normal part included questions on BRICS and new member inclusion. Overall, certainly not too difficult even if not very easy if one were to take into consideration the unwanted 2-year-old event related questions.
English Section Analysis
English: In toto English was not a very difficult section and most of the students were fairly pleased about this section. Most of the questions in the CUSAT 2026 5-year LLB exam in English section were the normal run- of- the- mill questions.
This included questions on the grammar front: active-passive, reported speech, prepositions, basic fill in the blanks grammar. All these questions come every year. In 2024 there were minor deviations in the English section through some deep grammar questions like elliptical usages, parallelism etc. Thankfully nothing of that sort.
A minor disappointment to many students was that no questions came on idioms which is a scoring topic. But there were questions about one-word substitutes and fairly scoring ones too. Now the unpleasant part is the large number of questions that came from comprehension. More than 15 according to feedback.
This is not something which any student who dreads English wishes for and at the same time is also something which a student must practice and gain speed.
Logical Reasoning Analysis
Logical reasoning: The most important section in CUSAT LLB section every year and of course the deciding section of CUSAT 5 -Year LLB entrance. This year is also no exception. A total of 50 questions came from this section. Coding -decoding, ranking, blood relations, distance and directions formed the core of some questions. Students were fairly comfortable with most of the questions as per feedback given.
Deviations came from calendar related questions – almost four or five questions while the normal questions that come from statements and conclusions appeared but to a lesser extent this year. However here also there have been spoiler questions like every year. This year i.e. 2026 also many students complained that logical reason questions consumed a lot of time especially those in -seating and grouping.
There were two sets of questions in grouping which took up a lot of time. No doubt that a lot of students would have practiced on these questions but still its nature is such that it takes time to process the information in such questions. The balancing factor is that almost 45 questions have come on a slightly easier mode thereby giving breather to students.
